FOPAM 2023, the conference on "Foundations of Process/product Analytics and Machine learning" organized by CACHE, is July 30-August 3, 2023, at the University of California, Davis. The schedule is here, and the poster listing is here.

Building on the successful FOPAM 2019, FOPAM is intended to be the premier forum for researchers from industry and academia to discuss current status and future directions of data analytics and machine learning in the process industries. FOPAM 2023 is co-sponsored by AIChE's CAST Division and CoMSEF, AspenTech, AVEVA, Dow, Genentech, and the U.S. National Science Foundation.

The format of the conference is 3-1/2 days of presentations and discussions in the UC Davis Conference Center, preceded by an optional 1-1/2-day workshop. The conference itself begins on Monday evening, July 31, with an opening keynote by Cenk Ündey, VP and Global Head of PTD Data & Digital at Roche/Genentech. Over the subsequent three days, AM and PM sessions will follow a format of two talks, followed by audience Q&A and technical discussions with the two speakers and an invited discusser.

Audience research contributions will be through posters based on pre-submitted abstracts. A light breakfast and buffet lunch will be provided Tuesday-Thursday. Two of the afternoons will be used for the poster sessions, tours of the Wine Pilot Plant and Coffee Lab, and unstructured activities. At the Robert Mondavi Institute on the last evening, a reception/banquet and brief rapporteur analyses will conclude the conference.
